Freshly picked basil leaves are used for the production of pesto. After washing them, they are cooked in boiling water until they become tender. They are then drained, squeezed and left to cool. Once cold, they are blended with almonds until creamy.
When the jar is opened, you immediately feel the fresh scent of basil. The taste is particularly intense, to which a crunchy note of almond is added.
Our Organic Basil Pesto is excellent for seasoning Orecchiette and other types of pasta and is ideal for a vegan diet as it does not contain cheese.
